Prayer from Colossians…

This morning during our church gathering, I read the following prayer (from Col. 3:12-17). May God grant you the same:

Father,
As your elect, holy and beloved by you, help us put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; help us bear with one another and forgive one another, if one of us has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave us, help us to forgive also. Above all these things, help us put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Let your peace rule in our hearts, to which also we were called in one body; and help us be thankful. Empower the word of Christ to dwell in us richly in all wisdom, that we may teach one another and admonish one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to you, our Lord. And, whatever we do – in word or in deed – help us to do all in the name of our Lord Jesus, giving thanks to you, our God and Father, through Him. Amen.
