Rick, over at “Mmmm, That’s Good Coffee“, has started a new meme called “Five For Five“. The only rule is to answer the following five questions:

  2. Five foods you look forward to at Christmastime?
  3. Five favorite presents of all time?
  4. What are your five favorite holiday TV specials?
  5. Top five holiday-themed films?

So, here goes:

1. What are your five favorite Christmas songs?

2. Five foods you look forward to at Christmastime?

3. Five favorite presents of all time?

5. Top five holiday-themed films?

ELF might move onto my favorite movie list if it ages well – good stuff.

  2. 12-2-2007

I’ll give this a shot…tho’ I have to look up what a ‘meme’ is every time I come across the word. Just won’t stick in my head.

I love that you call them Peanut Butter Balls – I do too! A lot of people call them Buckeyes, but yuck, who wants to associate such a yummy treat with Ohio?

Also, can I just tell you HOW freaked out I am by those claymation movies that they play every year at Christmas? That one with the big Yeti – yikes! I can’t STAND those movies!!

    Hi Alan–

I would concur with many of your favorites. While there’s no category for ‘favorite reads’, may I suggest “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” by Barbara Robinson? We read this aloud every year, and it is something my kids will beg for. It is laugh-out-loud funny, yet poignant. There is a made-for-TV movie starring Lorretta Swit, but it is no substitute for Robinson’s through-the-eyes-of-a-child writing.
