Year in review

Posted by on Dec 31, 2007 in blog links | Comments Off on Year in review

This year – 2007 – was my first full year of blogging. (I started blogging in March 2006.) I have said, and still believe, that the best part about blogging is the interaction with many people, with many different perspectives, and many different experiences. I have learned from all of you, and I thank you for your continued interaction here on this blog.

The top five most read blog posts from the last year were:

  1. The Church or the Organization?” (from March 30, 2007 – my 40th birthday)
  2. Summary – Should elders/pastors be paid a salary?” (from October 10, 2007)
  3. Ephesians 4:11 and the Five-Fold Ministry” (from April 17, 2007)
  4. All people will know that you are my disciples” (from April 30, 2007)
  5. How does God communicate?” (from March 6, 2007)

If you decide to read “The Church or the Organization?”, you should first read the post “What does a bishop oversee?” If you decide to read the post “Summary – Should elders/pastors be paid a salary?”, be sure to read the posts that explain each of my points, which I link to from the summary post.

Some of my favorite posts from last year were the “guest blogger” posts. I also enjoyed participating in several “synchroblogs“.

I think the most enjoyable post for me was a post that I called “Please allow me to introduce myself” from August 10, 2007. In this post I asked my readers to introduce themselves. I enjoyed reading about you for a change. I’m excited that this post remains in my top ten most read posts of the year.

So, I want to end this “Year in review” by asking you to introduce yourself. If you are a new reader, or if you didn’t introduce yourself before, of if you simply want to introduce yourself again, please tell us about yourself. I hope you enjoy getting to know your fellow readers as much I enjoy getting to know them – both through this introduction, through their comments here, and through their blogs.

See you all in 2008.
