Scripture… As We Live It #38

Here is passage #38 in “Scripture… As We Live It“:

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life; and you are right. Just keep studying. (John 5:39-40 re-mix)

And praying, and being still before the Lord.

…but…but… its just so much easier to search the scripture… the bible is something tangible and absolute.

***Thought I would throw some handy justification in there.

I really enjoy the “Scripture… As We Live it” series of posts! Keep em’ coming!

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and all it does is inflate your head. Take one aspirin, and study harder tomorrow.” (John 5:39-40 another re-mix)

Sorry Alan, I haven’t figured out how to do the strikeouts 🙁

Sometimes these posts are too easy and too much fun… 🙂

    Kat,

The code for strikethrough is [del]text to be stricken[/del], but replace the [] with <>.

There are apparently several ways to do strikethroughs. One is simply by using “s” in the HTML tag. Oops, I just tried it here. My posting editor allows “s”, but the comments section apparently doesn’t allow either “s” or “del”.

Alan, somtimes I do real life misquotes when I write, but I like the strikethrough/red letter idea better becuase the reader can see both what was written and what is interpreted.

    Steve,

Thanks for the help. As long as I’ve coded html, I didn’t know about “s”.
