To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good that person’s private edification but not to be shared publicly, unless that person is a leader. (1 Corinthians 12:7 re-mix)
Good Quote. Sigh.. it’s the consumer mentality rolled up with laziness.That and every speaker/pastor/leader flashing their credentials – Ph’d. M.R.E.,D.Min.,Th.D, and letting you know they are an expert in their field etc.No wonder people feel intimidated to share. I do love hearing from teachers that have done extensive word studies and research into what a particular passage of scripture meant in that days culture. But I find more comfort in knowing that persons life also reflects their “living out” their study of God’s Word in their daily lives – which gets back to knowing the speaker.
