2010 Blogging Year in Review

Posted by on Dec 31, 2010 in personal | 3 comments

It is customary for me to write a “year in review” post. Since I’m not one to break with tradition, I thought I would write one this year also.

First, I was surprised to find that I had written more posts this year than any other year – many, many more posts – more than 50% more posts. I didn’t plan that. I’m not promising more posts next year – I’m not even promising the same number of posts next year.

Here are the top 10 most read posts on my blog that I wrote and published in 2010:

  1. Why I’m Not A House Church Proponent (from December 16, 2010)
  2. Honest Questions About Elders/Pastors (from June 30, 2010)
  3. Finding Community (from July 13, 2010)
  4. Church in a coffee shop (from April 27, 2010)
  5. Simple Church = Scary Church (from October 5, 2010)
  6. Why should we study the first century synagogue (from March 30, 2010)
  7. Obedience, Disobedience, and Grace in Deuteronomy (from March 5, 2010)
  8. Immediate Membership (from September 8, 2010)
  9. Church Sells Building to Help More People (from October 3, 2010)
  10. What does it take to be a church? (from February 2, 2010)

I also want to give a “shout out” to those bloggers who linked to my posts. The following blogs sent the most traffic to my site during 2010:

  1. Dave Black Online
  2. Arthur at “The Voice of One Crying Out in Suburbia
  3. Eric at “A Pilgrim’s Progress
  4. Steve at “From the Pew
  5. Guy at “The M Blog
  6. Lionel at “A View of the Woods
  7. Jon at “Jon’s Journey

If you don’t visit those blogs regularly, jump over and read some of their writings.

Thank you again for reading and commenting during 2010. The interaction and discussion here is the best thing about my blog, and that’s all because of you.

Who is this #4 guy, anyway? A heretic? 🙂 Alan, it’s been a pleasure to “send” traffic your way. I just put the links up, but readers click on them. I’m glad you had a good blogging 2010, and I look forward to reading much more of your thoughts in 2011. Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year to you.
