I’ve been slow in replying to comments
If you’ve followed my blog for a while, then you know that I love comments and I love replying to comments. In fact, I’ve always said that the discussions that take place in the comments of this blog are much better than the blog posts themselves.
Also, if you’ve followed my blog for a while, then you may have noticed that I’ve been much slower to reply to comments during the last week or so. I don’t like that my replies have been slower, but that’s the way it will be for now.
I’m involved in two big projects that are taking more of my time. Hopefully, as these projects get off the ground, I’ll be able to interact more here.
I want you to know that I appreciate your comments, and I wish that I could reply to them quicker. But, for now, I will probably continue to reply slower than usual.

Those of us who are dependent on your wisdom won’t know what to do.
Just kidding. Keep up the pace, or slow down the pace, whatever seems right. You are appreciated, and God will take care of us. 🙂
My informal survey reveals that yours is the best site for ongoing comments. I wish I knew how you manage to avoid spam while allowing comments to come up at once. My own (relatively new) sites have received virtually no topic-related comments so far, but lots of vague “good job” comments have arrived with links to Viagra ads! So I spam anything with a web address and that helps, as wll as moderating (which I hate, since it delays posts going up).
I see two extremes: Rachel Evans’ blogs often get hundreds of long sort-of-on-topic comments in the first day and she seems to respond to the first twenty and then disappears…which anyone would do with that immense response. On the other end, I commented on someone’s new moderated-comment-site blog and got a reply, but my subsequent response was not what he wanted so it was not posted. He hasn’t been at it long enough to value any serious comments! I am reminded of a line from the movie, Notting Hill, in which the friends of the main character are responding to his decision to not renew connection with a beautiful movie star despite her apology and request. The wistful comment of another character is something like, “It sure would be nice to have some girl actually want to spend time with me.” Just how I see relevant comments.
Nothing theological here and I fully understand your SLOW sign–just wanted to commend you.
