This is the 81st passage in “Scripture… As We Live It“:

So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, but instead to pray that my suffering would end, so that when God answers your prayer I will be well again, which is your glory. (Ephesians 3:13 re-mix)

I don’t get it. Paul is saying not to become discouraged at his sufferings, but you add the concept of praying for relief. So are you saying it is not right for us to pray for Christians who are suffering?

    Joe (JR),

No, not at all. But, there are many Christians who view healing as glory and suffering as something to be avoided.

The End of Philippians and 1 Thessalonians 1 are huge in this one Alan and Joe. It is hard for me because when I don’t get my way I get upset, let along suffering.
