They [priests] serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, and you should continue building and serving copies and shadows of the heavenly things in the forms found in the Old Testament. (Hebrews 8:5a re-mix)

    So sad, but such a true version of what is commonly understood!

    It seems that with all of our learning we have not escaped from our own righteousness as a means of pleasing our great God. We have not perceived the all sufficiency of Christ and the greatness of His grace, AND we think others are greater sinners than ourselves. How mistaken can we be?
