BibleWorks Software Information Meeting at SEBTS

There will be an informational meeting concerning BibleWorks software on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in Patterson Hall room 119. Everyone is invited to attend.

I’m currently using BibleWorks 7. I usually upgrade every other release, and since they are currently on BibleWorks 8, I hope to upgrade on the next release.

However, I recently started using a Mac, and BibleWorks is only available on Windows based systems. So, soon, I will need to decided if I’m going to change to a Mac based software, or run BibleWorks in a Windows partition or a virtual machine on the Mac.

    Or you can just install WINE and run the Bibleworks in a MAC environment…

    I currently run BibleWorks under VMWare Fusion. I also run Accordance natively under OS X. If you like BibleWorks, you would love Accordance.

    I have been trying to decide between VMWare Fusion and Parallels. Why did you choose Fusion?

    Largely because I’ve used WMWare on Linux for years (almost 10! Yikes!) and liked it. There are a few “gotchas,” but each version gets rid of more and more of them. I run Windows XP on a separate desktop (#2) and run it full screen. The other 3 desktops are OS X. I tried running it as a window, but I found that I was continually using the wrong combination of keys; a separate desktop helps my mind stay in the correct category 🙂
