How did you get from there to here?
People from all over the world connect and interact with me on this blog (and via other networks), and I love it! I love hearing the different stories and perspectives, especially concerning the church.
But, I wonder, what roads are people taking to reach my blog? There are several paths to reach my posts now, because I share links on several different social networks. Most of these links are posted automatically.
Would you be willing (please?) to share with me how you typically reach my blog posts? (If you use more than one method, please share that as well.)
Here are several options (but you can share others as well):
- Bookmark / Direct Connection
- Google+
- RSS feed / Feed reader
- Twitter / Twitter client
Finally, for the last few months, I’ve been sharing older posts on Facebook and Twitter. If you have seen those links, please tell me what you think about me sharing those old posts. I’ve gotten positive feedback, but I also want to make sure that I’m not sending out too many links.

I have you in my RSS – but twitter typically gets me there sooner.

I first ran across your blog by google searching issues regarding paying clergy. Now when I read your posts I typically click through from google+ or Facebook or your latest entry in the blogroll on my own blog. I don’t arrive via twitter vey often. Twitter is sooooo 2009.
I occasionally read the older posts but frankly I have read a lot of them before. I would suggest perhaps sending them out less frequently.

Before I was in Facebook back in around 2007 I booked marked your site after learning of it after meeting Lionel Woods while researching new covenant theology, that is how I first heard of your site. 🙂
I currently get to your blog articles via your facebook links (statuses). A few years ago, I used to click your blog off my blog, but since I hardly ever blog, I do not do that now. In the near future, I will be coming to you via google+
It’s been far to many years ago for me to remember how I first found your blog, but today pretty much now follow via G+.
Not sure how I found your blog originally – maybe a link from another blog. It is now in my Google feed reader so I usually read it there.
I get there through Twitter or Facebook. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the past articles. Keep up the great stuff!

You keep tricking me on Facebook by linking to old posts that are really interesting. Sometimes I get 1/2 way through before I realize I’ve read it before. 🙂
Google Reader mostly, sometimes Facebook. I like seeing older posts on FB, they’re good for sharing.
Hi Alan, while study Scriptures for today, from Dr. Charles Stanley’s Life Principles #28 “Together in the Church life.”; He posed the question “Why should believers assemble together as a church?” So I “Google” the same questions on the Internet and through one the hits was your Blog “The Assembling of the Church” and so…here I am.

Google reader mostly. But you get referenced (linked to) on a lot of blogs – and if I see the link there before I get to my reader, I go here straightaway!
I can’t remember how I first found you but now I get you on Google Reader (per your suggestion to someone else!). 🙂
I receive an email notification and got your you blogs via the link provided. I see your posts regularly on Twitter and Facebook but rarely click on those links. I do, however, occasionally retweet or “like” you posts if i have have read them

I forget how I came across your blog, but I read it because I bookmarked it in my favorites folder. I’m old school here. I also open it quite often through your facebook posts by clicking “open new tab.”
Personally, there are more old posts than I prefer. Although I do have an interest in older posts, I prefer to interact in the comments of something new.
