And let us not grow weary of doing supporting non-profit Christian groups who do good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up stop supporting them. (Galatians 6:9 re-mix)

Yes, I’ve been challenged with this lately. Yesterday I sent off donations to two Christian aid organizations. Financially we’ve been in the red for awhile, so it does hurt to give. But what bothers me is that it still seems too easy of a solution. I’m letting others do the work as I stay comfortable in my home. And they will get the blessing of interacting relationally with those in need. I’ve tasted that before… the feeling when it is more blessed to give than to receive.
I wonder if this is part of the mindset of letting the “professionals” handle ministry.
